We’d hate to be down under right now!!
Frank Ocean, the crooning modern R&B powerhouse, has had to cancel the rest of his Australian tour because he damaged his vocal chords! There is a tear on one of them, and if he doesn’t rest and rest NOW, the damage could be permanent!
Here’s what Live Nation said about it in their announcement:
“It was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show. It has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal cords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice.
“This makes completion of his remaining Australian dates impossible. However we will be working to confirm a return to Australia as soon as is practical.”
We feel bad for both Frank AND the Aussies!
Still, the main thing is for Frank to heal, so this doesn’t happen again! We’re sure everyone excited for the shows are bummed — but we bet they’d rather have Frank around for a long time than to never sing again after seeing him!
Rest up, Frank! We hope it wasn’t those arguments with Jay Z that hurt you!
