Let it go gay!
Idina Menzel has dedicated most of her life to musical theater, so it’s shouldn’t come as too much a surprise that she’d be a strong supporter of the LGBT community.
Luckily, she’s doing more than just standing up for her queer fans… because the Tony-winner officially just commented on #GiveElsaAGirlfriend!

For those who don’t know, fans on Twitter have been using the hashtag to urge Disney to make Elsa an out lesbian for Frozen 2, and Idina is totally on board!
While walking the Billboard Music Awards red carpet on Sunday, the actress gave a safe-yet-reassuring answer in regards to Elsa’s questionable sexuality, saying:
“I think it’s great. Disney’s just gotta contend with that. I’ll let them figure that out. No matter what, Elsa changed my life.”
We were already in love with the idea, but knowing that Elsa herself is behind it as well makes us want it even more!
However, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Idina only just began production on Frozen 2 back in March, so it’s going to be a long time until we get to see if Elsa comes out of the closet.
