Gerard Butler NOT Yelling SPARTAA In 300 Sequel!

But King Leonidas, whatever will we look at if your glistening, airbrushed, gynormous abs aren’t rippling onscreen?!
It seems we will have to to be excited for MORE than just sexy, hard-bodied man-flesh in the sequel to Frank Miller’s 300, as Gerard Butler will NOT be returning to reprise his role as the fearless Spartan leader!
Gerard recently broke our hearts, stating:

“Oh, yeah, I’m not doing it. They’re filming [the ‘300’ sequel] right now. I wish them the best, but it didn’t [work out]. It wasn’t really my thing.”

Sadface.
Ah well, we knew that if King Leonidas DID make an appearance in 300:Battle of Artemisia, it would only be in a small way as the plot centers on the Persian leader Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) and his quest to becoming a man-god.
But luckily, the ever-lovely Eva Green will play Artemisia… yay! Ok all is forgiven Gerard, ’cause Eva’s acting skillz totally make up for you lack of onscreen nakedness.
