Imagine breathing such rarified air that you don’t even remember being in a huge blockbuster movie.
TWO YEARS AGO.
Gwyneth Paltrow got so Gwyneth during her guest spot on Jon Favreau‘s new show, you’d think it was scripted.
Favreau decided to bring his love of cooking to Netflix, along with some of his very famous friends.

First up? The actress he cast as Pepper Potts to Robert Downey Jr.‘s Tony Stark when he directed the very first Iron Man back in 2008.
As the cameras roll, and Gwyneth is allowed to just be Gwyneth, hilarity ensues.
Things get hilariously awkward when the movie star asks the Lion King filmmaker:
“What is this TV show for?”
We don’t really know whether she’s asking where it will air or the more existential query, as in, what’s it all for?
But Jon tells her he doesn’t really know, he just started filming his cooking a couple years ago.
“We were actually doing it when we were filming Spider-Man. That was the first time, we just brought a film crew with us down to Atlanta, and we cooked at the Optimist –“
It is at this point Gwyneth stops simply looking confused and starts sounding confused.
She interrupts:
“Spider-Man??”
To which Jon replies helpfully:
“Yeah, we were in Spider-Man together. Remember we were on Spider-Man?”
Gwyneth isn’t having it. She denies the statement as ludicrous, stating assuredly:
“We weren’t in Spider-Man.”
Favs tries to convince her:
“Yes we were. You were in Spider-Man.”
He’s much less incredulous than we would be. We can’t help but feel like he’s been through this type of thing with Gwyneth before. LOLz!

She still isn’t buying it. She corrects him:
“No, I was in Avengers…”
The director, who costarred as Tony Stark’s driver Happy Hogan in all the Iron Man and Avengers films (and yes, Spider-Man: Homecoming too, we promise), responds:
“No, you were in Spider-Man also.”
And she looks at him like he’s nuts. Hysterical.
He tries to paint the picture for her, describing the entire scene of her surprise cameo at the end of the 2017 reboot:
“Remember, Spider-Man at the end and Tom Holland’s there and you’re gonna walk out and do a press conference? And I give you the ring? That was Spider-Man.”
Seriously, how could you forget Tom Holland??
She remembers the scene and finally concedes, saying:
“That was Spider-Man?? Oh my god!”
Ha!
