He is so totally P.O.ed!
After posting an open letter to fashion critic Cathy Horyn on Twitter, Saint Laurent creative director Hedi Slimane had a lot more to say.
When Horyn called the whole fight “silly nonsense” Hedi hit back with a series of furious tweets:
The perfect integrity of the NewYork Times, and its writers, is not precisely “just silly nonsense” .

What is a ” silly nonsense ” to me is Catty Horyn still singing her tired bias tune for the nyt. This is an embarrassment for the newspaper.

Cathy and Hedi have been foes for awhile now, but it seems like YSL may have inadvertently added to the fashion-fueled fire with their pre-show PR attempts.
For example, they sent out an email instructing writers which words to use to describe the collection and gave them pictures of the designer that were to be used any time they were written about.
And THEN, British Vogue’s editor, Alexandra Shulman, got in on the social media sh*tstorm and wrote:
@ysl fallout an example of what happens when you try to overly control the media. Generally everyone is more generous to first collections.

Anyone else find the irony that Hedi’s letter was titled “Freedom of Press”, when YSL were the ones who gave force fed them words?
Just sayin’.
