It’s been a dark week for hockey fans in Idaho.
They’ve all been duped by a Boise arena, and this is not laughing matter: the $7 ‘large’ beers they sell contain the EXACT SAME amount of beer that their $4 ‘small’ beer holds.
And that is just as un-American as anything we’ve ever heard.
So now a handful of Idaho hockey fans are suing the arena! Specifically it says that CenturyLink Arena, home of the Idaho Steelheads hockey team, defrauded customers!
The extra $3 went to a taller, narrower cup that didn’t hold any more beer than the small version!
Feeling the impending pressure and chaos, Arena spokesman Mike Campbell claims he hasn’t seen the lawsuit yet and can’t comment.
The four fans — Brady Peck, Michele Bonds and William and Brittany Graham — are seeking $10,000 in damages! That seems a little outrageous, but then again this is beer we’re talking about here. And it’s about the lesson, not the money!

Here’s what their Attorney, Wyatt Johnson (cowboy attorney at law?) said:
“While different shapes, both cup sizes hold substantially the same amount of liquid and are not large versus small in actual capacity. Defendants knowingly sold each of their beers in a similar manner at each event held at the arena where beer was sold for at least the last five years.”
Just two days ago this was brought to the public’s attention by a fan who posted a video on YouTube (below), proving that this is what was happening.
Scrambling to save face, CenturyLink officials announced quickly they were going to buy new cups for the large beers that would hold 24 ounces instead of 20 ounces.
Was it a mistake, or a sinister plot?
We might never know — but we’re pretty happy with the changes that happened so quickly. Now we only hope JUSTICE is as swift!
