Iman Steps Out For The First Time Since David Bowie's Death

It’s so nice to see her out again.
After the death of husband David Bowie earlier this year, Iman has kept mostly to herself.

But the legendary supermodel made her first major appearance of the year at the Tom Ford fashion show in New York Wednesday night, looking lovely with a big smile on her face.
However, the 61-year-old admitted that it’s been a very difficult time for her after losing both her husband and mother only three months of each other:

“It’s just been a tough year, but I’m holding up.”

The makeup mogul was also wearing a special gold necklace in honor of her late husband. She explained:

“I’m wearing this until my death. [Fashion designer] Hedi Slimane made it for me. It just says ‘David.’ “

Right in the feels!
Of course there is still sadness in her heart that will take time to slowly dissipate. When fashion journalist Joe Zee called her a “survivor,” she responded:

“Not as much as you think.”

Despite it all, we’re so glad to see her out with friends and smiling. She deserves some light in her life now more than ever!
She even shared selfies of herself getting ready and posing with fellow supermodel Cindy Crawford:
