iO Tillet Wright continues to spill the beans!
In an interview with The Times of London‘s Sunday Times, Wright delved deep into possible catalysts for Amber Heard and Johnny Depp‘s tumultuous split.

For those who don’t remember, the photographer was at the center of the pair’s domestic abuse allegations back in May. According to court docs, the artist was on the phone with Ms. Heard at the time of the supposed violence.
Following the disbelief at Amber’s claims, iO penned a very emotional essay in support of her friend. There was never any confusion as to who the 31-year-old supported in the breakup.
While Wright contends friendship with the actress, an estrangement with the 53-year-old has emerged. Apparently Johnny hasn’t been apologetic enough in public as well as behind the scenes.
Elaborating, I.T.W. explained:
“It’s a tough thing. My attitude about that is the same as the attitude I have about my parents. People are very rarely bad people. People have things that happen to them and people have pain they are trying to get around.”
Hm… iO’s portrait of J.D. is very interesting. It echoes a lot of other accounts suggesting the the father of two is going through a very difficult time, which is possibly being made worse with alcohol abuse.
The gay rights activist went on to add:
“Everyone is trying to dance with their pain and sometimes it’s who do you stab in the process? It’s what you do about having stabbed them that’s the delineation between people you can have in you life and people you can’t.”
Yikes. What an intense and poignant metaphor!
Despite Tilett’s angst towards Depp, Heard’s friend admits the former flames’ generosity “saved” his life. The creative admits Johnny once offered financial help (which was refused) at one of the darkest times.
Well, this is a lot to digest. We’re curious if Mr. Depp will ever address iO’s claims.
