Jamie Foxx BLASTS Sela Vave 'Home Wrecker' Claims, Defends Supposed Mentorship Of The 21-Year-Old Singer

Jamie Foxx Sela Vave home wrecker video claims

Jamie Foxx is trying to set the record straight about his relationship with Sela Vave, and he’s using old claims about Ed Sheeran and Nick Cannon to do it! Wait, what?!

On the heels of his unexpected split from Katie Holmes, the 51-year-old actor is now attempting to address all the relationship and “home wrecker” rumors flying around Vave after he was spotted out clubbing with the 21-year-old singer last week. And to hear the Hollywood veteran tell it, there’s apparently a very innocent reason the pair has been spotted together!

In a brand new series of videos posted to the young aspiring artist’s Instagram account on Wednesday, the longtime entertainer speaks directly to camera about all the rumors and controversies flying around. The video appears to be a direct response to new reporting from Page Six, which confirmed the Jarhead actor has in fact moved Vave into his mansion in Thousand Oaks, California. Hmmm…

However, the longtime entertainment mogul argues, things aren’t what they seem! And while contending he’s simply trying to mentor the girl in her quest for a music career, the actor revealed he did the same thing for both Sheeran and Cannon in the past (below):

“When I met Ed Sheeran, I didn’t know him from Adam. He slept on my couch for six weeks. Nick Cannon was 13 years old, he used to sleep at my old house … everybody come to my crib. I did the same thing with [Vave] … We took her under our wing … We wanted to treat her the same way and give her the opportunity. I spoke to that girl’s mom and she put her trust in me. We don’t ever cross lines like that, personal. I wanted to let you know, for all who were scandal chasing, that’s our artist, that’s our family … We are working.”

Wow! Very interesting, indeed — and if true, the whole mentorship thing certainly changes the dynamic here a little bit…

For Foxx, at least, this is actually a big part of the point because the help is now going to a young, pretty woman, the Hollywood funnyman believes there’s a serious double standard at play. And he might not be wrong about it!!

Holmes’ high-profile ex said more about it (below):

“I’m not no old n***a out here with no young folks. You know what I’m saying? It’s a double standard when it comes to women—when it was the guys, everything is cool but when it was the women they try to make it something else but we are going to try to protect our own. And like I said, I spoke to that girl’s mom and she put her trust in me. So all of the unnecessary hate for the woman just because the guys are coming here [to record at Jamie’s studio], all of sudden they’re digging hard, they’re working hard—but then the girl does it and all of sudden she has an ulterior motive? Stop that s**t.”

Well then!!

Foxx’s rants go well beyond those two points; you can watch the full explanation from the former In Living Color star across all the videos (below):

BTW… it’s shouldn’t be lost on you how Vave shared a caption about the whole mess on this very same IG post, too. In her own words, the aspiring musician writes along with the series of videos (below):

“For the people who care… here is the TRUE story(swipe)… for everyone else you can keep talking and calling me a whore, slut, home wrecker, thot, gold digger, that I should die, and what ever else you want. Because it doesn’t matter to me, I’m out here to work and do what I love most. #music #killthedoublestandard”

Pretty strong words, indeed!!!

OK, so, we know they are indeed now living together, and yet both parties here are playing down any relationship talk and trying to keep it strictly business. At worst, it’s all an outright lie and they’ve got a thing going. At best, the actor’s public breakup with longtime GF Holmes comes at a particularly bad time, making him look like he’s trying to chase younger women and making this poor aspiring artist to appear to be something she’s not, either.

Where do y’all think the truth falls on this one, Perezcious readers?? Are you buying the story Foxx and Vave are selling here about innocent mentorship?! And is there really a double standard at play — or is it all a clever ploy to take some heat off a new romance snuffed out prematurely by paparazzi pics at the club??
