Jay Leno Thinks Jimmy Kimmel Gets Low Ratings Because He's Too Mean! See All The Late Night Shade HERE!

Jimmy Kimmel may be one of the reigning kings of Late Night, but that doesn’t mean he’s necessarily loved by everyone in the industry.

In a recent interview, Jay Leno got a little blunt while promoting his new CNBC show Jay Leno’s Garage, and called Jimmy out for being so mean.
In fact, the former Tonight Show host blamed Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s less than stellar ratings on his “mean streak,” saying:

“The most important element you can have in doing a late night show is kindness. Because the show makes you arrogant. I think that’s Jimmy Kimmel’s problem. I think he’s a talented guy, I think he’s funny. But he has a mean streak, and it comes across. He does this thing where he takes Halloween candy from kids and the kids cry. What am I missing here? It is funny I guess, but it’s mean-based. I think that’s why he’s not higher in the ratings.”

We actually kind of get his point. Laughing at kids’ expense with his annual Halloween prank might be in a bit of a moral grey area…
Then again, those crying videos are some of Jimmy’s most viral content, so we don’t think they’re hurting his viewership.
But hey — at least Jimmy knows who to base his next Mean Tweets segment on! JK!
