The Jerry Sandusky trial is far from over.
It seems the prosecution may rest this week after the last victim gave the trial’s most powerful testimony.
He is 18 now, but looks much younger.
He had a three-year-long relationship with Sandusky because his mother wanted him to have a male figure in his life.
Not lifting his gaze from the floor, he spoke about how when he was a 67-pound preteen, sexual abuse by Sandusky began almost immediately.
He gave his testimony in front of the court and prosecutor Joe McGettigan. It went like this:
Victim: “He made me suck his penis.”
Prosecutor: “Did you want to do it?”
Victim: “No. [But] what was I gonna do? Look at him. He├óΓé¼Γäós a big guy, way bigger than me.”
Prosecutor: “How many times did this happen?”
Victim: “Every weekend. About 100, maybe 150 times.”
Prosecutor: “Did he do anything else to your body?”
Victim: “He put his penis in my butt. He got real aggressive and he forced me into it. There was no fighting against it. Sometimes I├óΓé¼Γäód scream, tell him to get off of me.
[It happened] a few times├óΓé¼┬ª until I grew a pair of balls. I had enough of it. I called my mom to come pick me up ’cause I had a cell phone, finally.”
We can’t imagine what it must be like for these victims having to relive their abuse.
Or for their poor mothers, who sent their children into the arms of a predator.
Sandusky’s defense attorney Joe Amendola later cross examined the victim:
Defense: “So, you say Mr. Sandusky had anal sex with you?”
Victim: “Yes.”
Defense: “Did you ever need medical attention?”
Victim: “No.”
Defense: “Did you ever bleed?”
Victim: “Yes. But I just dealt with it. I have different ways of coping with things.”
Defense: “You say you screamed?”
Victim: “Yeee-ah.”
Defense: “Was Mrs. Sandusky home?”
Victim: “Yes. But I think the basement is soundproof. It├óΓé¼Γäós a big basement.”
That’s absolutely terrible.
We don’t even know what to say.
It’s like Sandusky built himself a rape dungeon in his own home.
We hope justice is served.
