Some diehard fans of football are pretty unhappy that some other people have a different outlook on the former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno since the whole not doing a lot to stop Jerry Sandusky from sexually abusing young kids thing came to light, so they’ve erected a billboard near a rural central Pennsylvania highway to remind everyone how many times he helped a school win at sports games.
Apparently nobody knows who’s ACTUALLY behind putting this up (above), and the people who put up a bunch of similar ones last fall are denying it was even them.
That group was called Penn Staters for Responsible Stewardship, and they even have a spokesperson deny involvement!
LISTEN: We can totes understand loving a sport and being a huge fan (we would never fault someone for that!) — but there are def instances where that should be put aside!
The sexual abuse of minors and investigators determining Paterno (and others) knew about past child sex abuse by former assistant Jerry Sandusky is one of those instances! The money putting up this thing could’ve been donated to sexual abuse victims or something!!
Paterno’s supporters say he’s not at fault, investigators and a whole lot of other people thought differently — how do U feel about it all??
