Kendall Jenner had no idea her quitting Instagram would make the national news. At least that’s what she told Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday morning.
We’re not sure if she’s being incredibly naive or super down-to-earth, but the KUWTK star said she didn’t even understand how people knew so fast — until her friends and family told her it was on CNN!

But why quit in the first place? Kendall explained she just “needed a break”:
“I would wake up in the morning and look at it first thing; I would go to bed and it was the last thing I would look at. I felt a little too dependent on it. So I kind of wanted to take a minute. It’s a detox.”
OH, like a kleanse! We totally get that, gurl! Kendall also gave all her fans going through withdrawal hope, promising:
“I’ll be back.”
