This is such an exciting year for Nirvana fans!
Not only are they getting a look into the life of Kurt Cobain in the HBO documentary, Montage of Heck, out May 4 — but they can also live life like the rockstar by staying in his Los Angeles apartment!

Yes, you totally read that correctly!
The apartment that Kurt and Courtney Love shared in El Lay from 1991-1992 is available for rent on Airbnb! This is definitely something fans should look into staying at if they’re in the Los Angeles area!
According to the listing on the popular apartment rental site, it describes the space as the perfect combination of comfort, style, and rock ‘n’ roll history! It reads:
“Welcome to my spacious two-bedroom apartment. We have a large living room with seating for you and all your friends, a dining area suitable for meals big and small, and fully stocked kitchen.
The place is the perfect combination of comfort, style, location and…rock n’ roll history.
First about the Rock History: Yes, Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love lived in the home during the height of Nirvana’s musical influence 91-92 to be specific. At the time, Kurt was focused on song writing and his artwork, much of which was created in the apartment. He was particularly into painting during this time and even decorated the walls in the living room and bedroom. His favorite spot in the house: the bathtub. In it, he wrote the song “Heart-Shaped Box.”
The location has been immortalized in books and across the web. I can provide many more pictures from SPIN magazines recent spread on the place.
More on the home: Built in the 1920s, the apartment is part of one of the neighborhood’s signature quad-plexes. Despite it’s age, it’s beautiful, decorated and clean.
