Liza Minnelli had to pull out of an event in New York City in order to undergo surgery for a broken foot she suffered over the weekend.
No word on HOW she broke her foot, but she had to cancel attending the Police Athletic League’s Women of the Year luncheon where she was to be honored.
The singer is a huge supporter of the organization, which is dedicated to providing athletic activities for the city’s youth, and is hoping to be counted among PAL’s Women of the Year next fall.
