Lorde’s Royals Was Inspired By The Kansas City Royals, Not Kate & Wills!

This is a surprise!
When people hear Lorde’s mega hit Royals, they probably thought the singer was inspired by England’s royal family, or maybe even just music royalty, but the LAST thing we thought it meant was this!
The New Zealander recently talked about where the idea for her song came from, and was surprisingly sparked by the Kansas City Royals baseball team!
She saw a picture of long-time Royal George Brett and ended up writing a hit!
