Maci Bookout sincerely doesn’t believe that ex Ryan Edwards is sober.
During part one of the Teen Mom OG reunion on Monday, the MTV veteran admitted this belief to Dr. Drew. It’s no secret that Maci and Ryan have a tense coparenting relationship. Most recently, Miz Bookout filed for two orders of protection against her former flame.

This legal move came after Bentley‘s poppa was arrested after the Red Bank City Police Department received a petition to revoke warrant. Thus, it isn’t surprising to report that the exes couldn’t even sit down with Dr. Drew to discuss their struggles.
Here’s how it played out…
As you surely know, for most of the season, Maci requested that Ryan take a drug test — a request the 30-year-old wouldn’t oblige to. Understandably, this has left the 26-year-old convinced that he isn’t clean. Ryan disputed this sentiment, as he muttered backstage:

“I wonder if she believes the lies she tells?”

Ryan eventually got to share his side of the story, however, he didn’t necessarily paint himself in a positive light. Edwards acknowledged that he struggled with rehab, even admitting that he left treatment early. Oh, and he hasn’t done any outpatient rehab work either.
He added:

“I didn’t know how I was going to get out and actually stay clean.”

Smh. When Ryan and Maci were slated to join each other onstage, the Tennessee native refused to speak with his first baby momma. Mr. Edwards stated:

“I’m not sitting out here with her.”

Yikes. Still, Maci and Ryan’s beef wasn’t the only drama addressed during the reunion episode.
Amber Portwood, who conferenced into the taping via Skype, shared that she suffered a relapse following her split from Matt Baier. Per Portwood, the alleged mental and physical abuse she suffered at Matt’s hands left her in a very dark place. Specifically, the 27-year-old started drinking again.
She confessed:

“I definitely was trying to drown my sorrows.”

Thankfully, Amber’s romance with Andrew Glennon brought her out of the darkness. Not only did Amber call the soon-to-be father her soulmate, she suggested that he saved her life. The pregnant TV personality relayed:

“He really picked me up before I started doing drugs again. If it wasn’t for Andrew, I don’t even know if I would be here right now.”

We hope Amber isn’t putting too much pressure on this relationship. Nonetheless, we’re glad to hear that she’s in a much better place.

Speaking of mental health struggles, Catelynn Lowell addressed her emotionally exhaustive season. In case you forgot, in addition to miscarrying a pregnancy, Catelynn was in and out of a treatment facility to cope with suicidal thoughts. While going away was the best thing for Lowell, she is worried that she put her daughter Novalee through something traumatic.
Tyler Baltierra‘s wife expressed:

“When I was in treatment, I struggled with the fact that ├óΓé¼╦£Am I putting her through the same stuff that my parents put me through?'”

Apparently, since Catelynn’s returned, Novalee has been continuously anxious that her mother will leave again. She noted:

“It breaks my heart.”

We can only imagine how hard that’s been.
One entertaining highlight from the episode came about when the Moms addressed Farrah Abraham‘s absence from the reunion taping. While Catelynn stayed relatively neutral about Farrah, Maci laid into the XXX performer by saying it was “nicer” to do the show without her.
