At the after-party, Adrien Brody sited the festival as “a global stage for independent film makers” and this year it did not disappoint. Established and rising talent both were abundant on opening night and throughout the festival.
Our two rising star picks were Blonde bombshell Larisa Polonsky (Chicago Fire) who gave an unstoppable performance in the feature Leaving Circadia, an insightful film following a group of friends entering their 30s.
Our male pick was the talented Charles Warburton, whose performance in the romantic drama A New York Pair got a standing ovation after its initial screening. Warburton gives a remarkably chilling portrayal of an agitated finance guy struggling to find happiness within his ‘perfect’ life.
Watch out for this promising young talent!
