Looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s estranged wife and journalist in her own right may be getting back in the career game!
Now that Maria Shriver no longer has to worry about the Governator, she has been in talks with NBC about joining their team as special correspondent. Her contract would “enable Maria to have the flexibility to appear on TODAY, NBC Nightly News and Dateline.”
A source revealed:
“Maria had to give up her job as a reporter when Arnold became Governor of California. She’s very excited about the prospect of returning back to reporting — and she thoroughly trusts NBC.”
Maria, who made an appearance on the TODAY Show earlier this week, could be spending even more time with host Matt Lauer, who’s been having some ratings troubles recently.
The source added:
├óΓé¼┼ôWhen Maria was reporting alongside Matt this week, she really tried to cheer him up… She thinks Matt was unfairly blamed for Ann Curry being axed, and has been made to be the scapegoat. She just has this amazing ability to unify people, and the TODAY crew really enjoyed working with her again.├óΓé¼┬¥
