Michael Vick On His Family's Dog

Michael Vick’s family has a dog!
The man who went to jail for brutally killing several dogs and was involved in dog fighting now owns a dog again.
He said:

“I understand the strong emotions by some people about our family’s decision to care for a pet. As a father, it is important to make sure my children develop a healthy relationship with animals. I want to ensure that my children establish a loving bond and treat all of God’s creatures with kindness and respect. Our pet is well cared for and loved as a member of our family.”

As much as we don’t like it, he does make a point.
To ensure his children don’t make his same mistakes, they need to learn to respect animals and all living creatures.
Vick continued:

“This is an opportunity to break the cycle. To that end, I will continue to honor my commitment to animal welfare and be an instrument of positive change.”

Again, we don’t really like him having a dog but if it can stop his children from following in his footsteps (animal abuse wise) then we guess it’s alright.
We still can’t understand how anyone could hurt a dog in the first place.
