Mormon Church Revises Stance On Gays!

mormon church gays lgbt revise stance
The Mormon Church has revised their stance on gays, and we don’t even mean they made it worse: they made it better. They have called for compassion toward gays and acknowledge that it is NOT a choice!
The Mormon Church launched a new campaign encouraging its members to be more compassionate toward the LGBT community and to “love one another.” Here’s what the official statement from the new church website reads:

The experience of same-sex attraction is a complex reality for many people. The attraction itself is not a sin, but acting on it is. Even though individuals do not choose to have such attractions, they do choose how to respond to them. With love and understanding, the Church reaches out to all God’s children, including our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters.

Well… it’s a start at least. Church leaders still insist that “they aren’t changing the Mormon teaching that same-sex relationships are sinful.”
While we’d absolutely like a 180 from their original stance, we don’t think it’ll happen over night. Can you imagine how many of their followers would have blown minds?
This isn’t a HUGE win in the fight for equality, and it still continues. But, we sure as hell will take all the little ones we can get on the way to winning the war!
