Love is in the air!
In a recent interview, newlyweds Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed FINALLY revealed the details behind their secret April wedding.
In the October/November issue of Brides magazine, the duo discussed how they actually pulled of a Jennifer Aniston style wedding before the Friends actress even did.
Apparently, the happy couple conned their friends and family into thinking that they were simply attending a housewarming party. Upon arrival, the guests were shuttled to Topanga Canyon, CA where the twosome held their ceremony.

Sneaky, sneaky!
The Twilight actress shared:
“We really wanted our wedding to be small, intimate, and about the two of us.”
Aww! That makes sense.
She noted:
“We didn’t want our loved ones to show up with any expectations or squeezed into formal attire.”
It appears that couple had just the low-key event they desired. They even enlisted wedding planner Andrea Freeman to help create a Louisiana feel for the reception — as the Lost alum is an LA native. LOVES it.
The brunette beauty continued:
“We wanted a Louisiana backyard-barbecue feel, with food stations and a dance floor for our closest friends and family. It really was all about the food, the dancing, and the love.”
Though the theme may have been relaxed, the affair itself still had some Hollywood glamor as Ellis Hall performed at their wedding and the starlet wore a gown by Claire Pettibone.
She gushed:
“Claire was an absolute dream to work with. Not only is she an amazing designer, but she has the most wonderful energy. We were on the same page from the moment we met.”
Faboosh!
We’re not sure what we’re most sad about missing — the event itself OR the reported three tier red velvet cake with a soft white buttercream frosting. YUMMMMM!
