One of our favorite reminiscing, coming-of-age films from the 1990s maaay be transformed into a television series!!
If you are unaware of the witty, charismatic, friendship tale that is Now & Then starring Demi Moore/Gabby Hoffman as dark & twisty Samantha, Rosie O’Donnell/Christina Ricci as sarcastically tomboyish Roberta, Melanie Griffith/Thora Birch as flighty, Hollywood-bound Teeny and Rita Wilson/Ashleigh Aston Moore as the sugary cupcake Chrissy then PLEASE let us illuminate you!
The flick centers on four childhood friends who reunite after YEARS of sporadic communication when Chrissy becomes pregnant. The now-women begin to remember the summer of 1970 when certain character-defining experiences caused them to kiss their childhoods goodbye (some literally), beginning their individual journeys towards ‘maturity’.
We’re not going to give the WHOLE film away, because OBVI we think you should watch that sh*t RIGHT THIS INSTANT!!
Pretty Little Liars exec producer I. Marlene King is reportedly developing the Now and Then series for ABC Family, and it probably won’t air till late 2013…
But don’t worry Mz. King, we got you covered, ’cause we’ve already cast this b*tch!
