We’re going to miss her so much, but can certainly understand her motivation here!
Natalie Portman released a statement on Saturday that she will NOT be attending the Oscars tomorrow night due to her pregnancy!

In the statement, Portman said of her decision to miss out on the Academy Awards, as well as the Independent Spirit Awards (below):
“Due to my pregnancy, I am unable to attend the Independent Spirit Awards and the Academy Awards. I feel so lucky to be honored among my fellow nominees and wish them the most beautiful of weekends.”
Awww!
Of course, it’s not just any old awards show weekend, anyways; Portman is nominated for Best Female Lead at the Spirit Awards for her portrayal of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in Jackie.
And yes, she’s also earned herself a nomination for Best Actress at the Oscars for the same role — so she could win herself some hardware on the big weekend here!

That said, we can’t blame her for the decision — family comes first!!
Having said that, though, Natalie (and that adorable baby bump!) will be missed on the red carpet, especially after we saw her strut her baby-bump stuff at the Golden Globes just a few weeks ago during this awards season!
