There are no prices listed next to Panera Bread in the St. Louis suburb, Clayton. YOU get to pick the price.
That’s the idea behind a non-profit Panera Bread that was started in hopes of feeding the needy and raising money for charity.
Panera founder and Chairman Ronald Shaich has always made it a point to make Panera into a charitable restaurant chain, but this is a bolder step than he has taken before.
Said Shaich:
“We were doing this for ourselves to see if we could make a difference with our own hands, not just write a check, but really make a contribution to the community in a real, substantive way.”
They have already opened two more locations in Detroit and Portland.
This is an amazing concept! Loooooove this!
