Raven-Symoné Says The Man Who Called Michelle Obama A Planet Of The Apes Cast Member Wasn't Racist

Raven-Symoné was a guest host on The View on Monday, and the topic of a now-fired TV host calling Michelle Obama a Planet of the Apes cast member.

Well, the actress had a different take on the situation. Co-host Rosie Perez was adamant that it was a racist comment made, asserting that there is racism against black people in the Hispanic community.
However, Raven didn’t see it that way. She said:

“Michelle don’t fire me for this, but some people look like animals. Is that rude? I look like a bird├óΓé¼┬ª so can I be mad at somebody that calls me ├óΓé¼╦£Toucan Sam?'”

It’s true that some people resemble animals. In fact there are tons of phone apps dedicated to finding out which animals people look like! But it’s also knowing what is ignorant that is the problem.
People are still saying Raven was out-of-line though and that her comments were ignorant. Take a look at the clip (below) and see what you think:
