Rebel Wilson Says THIS Is Why She Lied About Her Age!

Things got a little aca-awkward for Rebel Wilson earlier this year after it was discovered she had been lying about her actual age.
But, it turns out the blonde beauty had a pretty good reason for it. The 35-year-old opened up to Who magazine, saying her dishonesty was necessary for her career.

The Australian actress explained that the industry’s harsh judgment towards women drove the decision, saying:

“Being an actress it affects women more than men in terms of ageism and sexism so to be called out by the press on something most sensible business-minded people would have done in my position, it was a bit hurtful.”

That makes sense, because the truth could have actually hurt the funny lady’s career. The Pitch Perfect star continued:

“When you’re an actor, you have what’s called a playing range; to me, it’s not really beneficial having your age written anyway.”

It’s unfortunate that ladies of a certain age are given less opportunities than their younger colleagues, so we understand why Rebel chose to hide the truth.
