Feel better!
Over the weekend, the Red Hot Chili Peppers had to cancel their headlining slot at KROQ’s Weenie Roast after frontman Anthony Kiedis was hospitalized for “extreme stomach pains” hours before the show.
It turns out, the singer suffered complications from the intestinal flu.

And while Kiedis is “expected to make a full recovery soon,” the rock group doesn’t want to take any chances — so they are now officially calling off their upcoming Tuesday concert for iHeartRadio.
On Sunday, Reps for the Dani California performers made the announcement on the group’s official website, explaining:

“Due to Anthony Kiedis’ hospitalization from complications from the intestinal flu on Saturday evening, the Red Hot Chili Peppers regretfully must postpone their upcoming concert for iHeart Radio on May 17th. They would like to extend their gratitude to the fans for the outpouring of well wishes. Anthony is expected to make a full recovery soon.”

Better safe than sorry!
The RHCP’s next scheduled tour date is May 23 in Columbus, Ohio — so we hope Kiedis makes a full recovery by then!
