Zombies Win!

Resident Evil: Afterlife was the obvious winner at the box office this weekend.
The Milla Jovovich zombie flick opened at the number one spot with $27.7 million.
It was a record debut for the videogame-based franchise as it had the best opening ever among the Resident Evil films, as well as one of the best openings on a post-Labor Day weekend. No doubt, the film’s 3D prices contributed to the high figure.
Takers came in second, while The American, Machete, and Going the Distance rounded out the top five.
As for Joaquin Phoenix‘s documentary I’m Still Here, people didn’t seem to care about whether or not the film is a hoax or not. Opening in 20 theaters in 18 cities, it made a measly $98,000.
What did U see this weekend??
