If we ruled the world, it would always be bikini season.
Luckily our planet has Northern and Southern hemispheres, and if you’re really determined (and really rich), you can hop from one to the other and always be in warm weather.
And always wear a bikini!
Or you can just live on an island close to the equator.
Anyway, the point is bikinis rock, and we especially love when some of our favorite stars flaunt their winter bikini style to celebrate the New Year!
Lea Michele bared her pert bum while vacationing in Mexico on New Year’s Day! The actress and singer picked a palm-print bikini top and thong bottoms to better show off her buns.

Rihanna celebrated the New Year in Barbados in a striped strapless bikini top and multicolor bottoms. Then for some reason, tossed on a black hoodie sweatshirt.
But a glimpse at her toned abs more than made up for her weird choice in outerwear!
It’s technically summer in Brazil so it makes sense that Alessandra Ambrosio welcomed the New Year while frolicking on a beach in a turquoise bikini!
Fellow Brazilian model Izabel Goulart also had the perfect excuse to celebrate 2015 in a skimpy string bikini with scalloped edges, since it happens to be warm and sunny in Punta del Este, Uruguay at the moment!

Kendall Jenner joined some friends in Dubai to celebrate the New Year, and shared this sexy shot of herself in a brown bikini to remind everyone in colder climates just how far away summer is.

Finally, Bethenny Frankel chose a winter white halter bikini to hit the beach in Miami at the tail end of December (the 29th, to be exact!). No better way to anticipate the New Year than by getting half-naked!
