Rob Kardashian Dishes Why He Skipped Kim Kardashian's Wedding & Became Reclusive: 'I'm Good At Disappearing'

Rob Kardashian has repaired his rocky relationship with his famous family, but he still has regrets about keeping his distance.
In a new interview with People, the future father explained why he really skipped out on Kim Kardashian West‘s wedding with Kanye West.

The reality star revealed that his weight gain and body issues are ultimately what prevented him from attending his sister’s 2014 nuptials, saying:

“I was doing my suit fittings in Paris right before the wedding and I just wasn’t comfortable. I’m 6’1″ and at my most I probably weighed 300 lbs.”

The 29-year-old had actually made the trek to Paris, but got cold feet about attending the rehearsal dinner in Versailles and the ceremony in Florence because he didn’t like the way he looked, adding:

“There were cameras at the airport on our trip there and I was very unhappy with the person I saw in all the pictures. I’m upset I missed my sister’s wedding but it was a personal decision.”

And it was this lack of body confidence that drove him toward his reclusive lifestyle:

“I just wasn’t down to have photographers follow me, so I made sure I was away from all of that. I’m very good at disappearing.”

The sock mogul also dished that his feelings about his heavier frame is what pushed him away from his family as well:

“I wasn’t happy with myself so I didn’t want my family to see me that way. [Khlo├â┬⌐ Kardashian and I] butt heads about it. She’s all about, ‘your biggest revenge is your body,’ and I’m trying to find happiness in my own way.”

While the TV personality admits he could have handled his problems in a better way, he says he’s doing his best to keep up with momager Kris Jenner and the rest of his famous family now:

“The way I dealt with my issues maybe wasn’t the best, but nobody can make me happy but me. Now I want to see everybody in my family every chance I get. You never know what is going to happen tomorrow, and I don’t want to do that to my mom.”
