Sounds like Ryan Seacrest is singing a different tune now that his contract over at American Idol is almost up!
After 13 long seasons on the hit singing competition, sources are saying Ryan is ready to hang up that microphone for good!
Apparently the well known host is looking to move his career in a producing direction, a source is saying:
“Ryan is telling friends that this season of Idol is likely to be his last. He├óΓé¼Γäós lost the passion for it, and desperately wants to do different things at this point in his career, like produce the Oscars and start developing more of his original ideas.”
It’s only natural to want to move on and do different things! Were we really expecting Ry to be a host forever?!
The source dished of Ryan’s reduced involvement in hosting some of the bigger award shows this year. They said:
“Ryan├óΓé¼Γäós reduced role in this year├óΓé¼Γäós Emmys red carpet coverage is a clear move toward a life that involves less hosting and more producing. He wants to transition to behind the scenes more, and is getting fed up with the ‘interviewing people’ part of his job, when his heart is really in the work he does as a producer.
This season of Idol going to be a real endurance test for Ryan. Idol is holding him back right now, but it├óΓé¼Γäós also the most money he├óΓé¼Γäós ever been paid for anything, so he has to be a politician about it.”
