On Wednesday, the Oscar winner SLAMMED Donald Trump following his now infamous comments about Mexican immigrants. However, it appears that the brunette beauty wasn’t necessarily shocked by the presidential hopeful’s heinous remarks.
She shared:

“I’m aware that he would say anything to attract attention and create the publicity around him. If something generates publicity, I would never be surprised about anything he does.”

Miz Hayek shared her opinions on the GOP candidate while promoting her new film Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet. In fact, the Mexican-born actress refuses to say the real estate mogul’s name — as not to give him any more publicity.
She continued:

“I’d be surprised if he did something courageous and meaningful that nobody found out about. This was not courageous and meaningful.”

Nonetheless, the 48-year-old is grateful that the Apprentice star’s remarks helped highlight issues around race and discrimination in the U.S.
She noted:

“At least he brought a light to a real problem.”

Hmm, very inneresting.
We can only imagine the response Donald will give the starlet following this eloquently thrown shade. We guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
