Well, that’s one way to kill the mood!
We’ve been scratching our heads all season long while watching Scream Queens, trying to figure out just who is the third killer in the Red Devil costume.
And the last moments of Tuesday night’s episode teased us with a major reveal when a character who was initially brushed off as a red herring admitted to murder! [SPOILERS, obvi!]

The last scene of the episode, Pete (Diego Boneta) was packing up his bags to escape the campus and tells someone on the phone that he’s had enough, saying “this isn’t me.”
That’s when his detective sidekick/series ingenue/lady love Grace (Skyler Samuels) enters, ready to finally go to bone town — but not so fast! After Pete pulls away from Grace, he admits:
“I don’t want your first time to be with a murderer.”
Now even though we saw that Pete still has that Red Devil costume hanging in his closet, we’re not sure that he’s necessarily the evil mastermind that’s behind the whole murder spree.
Of course, it could be a bait and switch, and in the next episode Pete could reveal that he accidentally murdered someone and wasn’t behind any malicious killings. (Maybe he was the one who turned on the deep frier that melted Ms. Bean’s face off?)

The two hour season finale is next week, in which the actual Red Devil — the one who killed his/her “brother” Boone (Nick Jonas) and decapitated Gigi (Nasim Pedrad) with a turkey carver — will be revealed.
Here’s our picks based on who is suspicious af:
Chanel #5 (Abigail Breslin):
Sure, she’s been attacked a few times — but it’s always been in front of other people. And she’s always managed to get away without a scrape!
She’s the character we know the least about, and has been taking so much sh*t from Chanel Oberlin all season that we kinda just want to see her finally snap and reveal her master plan!
Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts):
Ryan Murphy hinted that the killer is obvious, and loves to trick the audience with fake flashbacks. Remember way back in the pilot when Chanel first told her Kappa sisters that she was attacked by the RD and it flashed back for no reason? Why not just show it in real time??
Because it’s all a charade!
Also, last episode’s sequence in the mall was a little off. We saw no blood when Chanel was shot with a harpoon and she didn’t really look that much in pain. Either Fox made some serious budget cuts, or Chanel was playing victim to throw everyone off her scent!
Grace:
Mostly just because it would be a really good twist, but also Grace has been showing some murderous thoughts lately AND her curly hair is starting to straighten out! All right after Gigi — who was the mother figure pulling the strings in this plot of revenge — was killed.
Also, we know she’s siblings with Boone — they even coordinate suspiciously embroidered outfits:
