Seth Meyers Will Be Around Until At Least 2021 -- Late Night Renewed For 5 More Seasons!

Having Lorne Michaels in your corner sure does pay the bills!
Seth Meyers may not be the funniest, most watched, or most talked about man in late night, but he is the one with the best job security.
That’s because NBC announced on Wednesday that the former Saturday Night Live comedian’s talk show Late Night has been renewed for five more years, guaranteeing him episodes until 2021!

But that’s not all — Seth will also be the host of the Peacock Network’s New Year’s Eve programming for 2016, taking the spot of Andy Cohen who hosted a special Hollywood Game Night last time around.
NBC head Robert Greenblatt confirmed the news ahead of the TCA Press Tour, saying:

“As a writer, performer, and host, Seth has a rich history at NBC and we are thrilled that he’ll be at the helm of Late Night for many more years. His knowledge of both current events and pop culture is unparalleled and he brings that expertise to Late Night every night. The show couldn’t be in better hands.”

High praise!
Not to be outdone, Seth also commented on his long-term renewal in a press release, saying:

“I can’t thank NBC enough for continuing to support our show and this more than makes up for my disappointment in not getting cast in The Wiz.”

LOLz!!!
Hopefully knowing he can’t lose his job will cause Seth to take more risks, because as it stands, his network mate Jimmy Fallon certainly has him beat creatively.
Will U be tuning in to Late Night with Seth Meyers for the next five years??
