Another bankrupt housewife?! You don’t say!
The Real Housewives of New York City‘s Sonja Tremont-Morgan filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection this morning, claiming $19.8 million in debt and $13.5 million in assets!
According to a statement in the court papers, she explains:
├óΓé¼┼ôThe decision to seek bankruptcy relief was not an easy one, but unfortunately, I am at a crossroads in my life.”
The papers also blame her financial problems on a lawsuit filed against her by Hannibal Pictures, Inc.
She and her production company, Sonja Productions, made a deal to produce a film starring John Travolta called Fast Flash To Bang Time, but the project never got off the ground because she couldn’t meet the “various conditions” that the actor demanded, so Hannibal pressed charges against her, and subsequently won $7 million.
Eek!
Well, at least she’s still a part of the Housewives franchise, and can use those opportunities to make some money back!

But at least you’re being honest about it, unlike Teresa Giudice and Michaele Salahi some of the other bankrupt Housewives past!
