No one is more supportive of Maisie Williams‘ Game of Thrones badassery this season than her on-screen big sister/IRL bestie Sophie Turner!
And she couldn’t have been more proud after Sunday night episode!

After last night’s AMAZING mid-season Battle of Winterfell where Arya Stark defeated the Night King, while also killing a bunch of wights along the way, and essentially saved everyone’s ass, the future Mrs. Jonas summed up basically all of our feelings about the explosive episode on her Instagram Story:

She’s not wrong! LOLz!
But last night wasn’t the first time this season that the 23-year-old has praised her future maid of honor! In case you missed last week’s episode, in the face of possible death, Arya decides to lose her virginity to her longtime crush Gendry (Joe Dempsie) and it’s safe to say that fans were absolutely floored by it!
No one loved the much-awaited coming of age scene like her big sis did! While downing a glass of red wine in a robe, she shared on her IG story:

Maisie opened up about her major moment to Entertainment Weekly, and spilled that it was Sophie who told her to read THAT scene before anything else, hours after they received their final scripts:
“Sophie said, ‘Whatever you do, you have to skip to this episode, this scene first.’ So I just read that and it was practically all I knew about the entire season.”
But the 22-year-old was just as shocked as many of us were by her assertive behavior with Gendry that she thought it was a joke staged by showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss:
“At first, I thought it was a prank. I was like, ‘Yo, good one.’ And [the showrunners were] like, ‘No, we haven’t done that this year.’ Oh f**k! I got to the read-through and I’m reading the scene and thought, ‘Oh, we’re actually going to do this. When do I shoot this? I need to go to the gym.’ A whole list of things.”
She’s definitely come a long way since season one, and we can’t wait to see how Arya continues to (literally) slay as they wrap up the mega HBO series over the next three episodes before the finale!
