What a devastating time for Tara Reid.
On Friday, Tara took to Instagram to reveal her beloved father Thomas Reid has passed away. The sad news comes on the heels of numerous stars losing their lives in 2016.

While the actress didn’t go into details about her poppa’s death, she did manage to pen a beautiful and emotional tribute in his honor, even going as far to coin Thomas as her “hero”.
The American Pie star gushed:
“My dad was so supportive, kind, strong, and my hero. He was my heart, my soul, and my entire world. I love you and will miss you so much daddy! #RIPDADDYREID.”
So heartbreaking.

Wow, we can’t even begin to imagine the pain Reid is feeling right now.
We hope she’s surrounded by numerous loved ones and friends during this harrowing time.
