Tarek El Moussa continues to open up about his split from his ex-wife and Flip or Flop co-star, Christina!
As you know, the HGTV stars separated last year after a strange incident where Christina called 911 on her husband, who left home with a handgun in his backpack after an argument. The TV pair share two children — Taylor, 6, and Brayden, 18 months.
In a interview published today, but conducted on February 19, the 35-year-old cleared up a bunch of speculation surrounding his breakup to Us Weekly.

As for what went wrong between him and Christina, Tarek said:
“It was a gradual thing over time. We were both very busy people with health issues and kids. We didn’t fight, we just grew apart.”
Their decision to separate wasn’t easy to share with the kids, an experience Tarek says was understandably difficult:
“It wasn’t the easiest thing. When Taylor asks, I kind of deflect the question.”
And even though the home flippers still work together, Tarek admits he was “bothered” when Christina started dating her now ex-boyfriend, contractor Gary Anderson:
“It bothered me [at first]. But she can live her life. I’ve totally moved on.”
In regards to his own love life, and rumors that he dated Taylor and Brayden’s nanny, Alyssa Logan, Tarek explained:
“I did date her for a month. I was going through a tough time, and she’s amazing. I never held hands with her around the kids, though. Now I’m not dating anyone specifically. It will be a long time before I’m in a relationship.”
So both Christina and Tarek are single! Inneresting!
