Taylor Swift Calls Out Donald Trump In New Political Anthem 'Only The Young' -- Listen HERE!

Taylor Swift new song Only the Young about Donald Trump and politics

Taylor Swift is here, and she’s ready to fight!

Just in time for the 2020 election season, the You Need to Calm Down singer is amping up young people all over, having just released her new political anthem Only The Young. With it, the 30-year-old superstar calls out Donald Trump in not-so-subtle ways, while beating back against the anti-woman, anti-equality tide that unfortunately seems to be rising in America. Time to take a stand!

Released early Friday morning in conjunction with her new Netflix documentary Miss Americana, the song offers an upbeat and inspirational vibe for those trying to make a difference in their communities. Immediately, it was a hit on YouTube once released, and it’s available across all streaming platforms, and more. You can listen to the song for yourself (below):

Wow!

So much for the girl who never dared speak a word of her politics to anyone… those days are (thankfully) LONG gone!!!

Speaking of ‘Miss Americana’…

Don’t count Taylor out from making a difference in American politics for years to come! The new doc follows the You Belong With Me singer on her own political journey surrounding the 2018 midterm elections when she opted to take a stand against Tennessee Republican Marsha Blackburn — and lost.

But it’s interesting to see how she was inspired to get so political in the first place. To hear Taylor herself tell it, things all came about after her 2017 sexual assault trial, during which a Denver radio DJ was accused of groping her under her skirt when the pair took a photo together.

As the pop princess explained in the doc itself, she was left with no other option but to get political after that encounter:

“It’s not that I want to step into [politics]. I just can’t not at this point. It’s something different in my life — something completely and unchangeably different — the sexual assault trial. No man in my organization or my family will ever understand what that was like. I was so angry. I was angry that I had to be there, I was angry that this was happening to women. I was angry that people are paid to antagonize victims. I was angry that all the details had been twisted. You don’t feel any sense of victory when you win, because the process is so dehumanizing. This is with SEVEN witnesses and a photo! What happens when you get raped and it’s your word against his?”

Wow… Very, very powerful stuff!

Reactions, Perezcious readers?! What do U think of the new song?? And her new political stance? Sound OFF with your take in the comments (below)!!!
