Attention all Vampire Diaries fans!
We’ve got some spoilerific casting news that is going to make your day.
With TVD and The Originals both coming back to The CW in the next two weeks, executive producer Julie Plec just shared some major news about who is going to be on both series this season!
Being set in the same universe makes it pretty easy for our favorite vampire-based shows to do crossovers, but which of the Vampire Diaries main cast members is leaving Mystic Falls and heading over to Mikaelson’s neck of the woods?
Why, that’s none other than…
Nina Dobrev!
That’s right, it’s not Ian Somerhalder or Kat Graham, it’s actually Nina who is going to appear in episode five of The Originals.
Nina will be playing the OG doppelganger Tatia, whom Klaus and Elijah have some serious history with.

We’re pumped about this news!
Now that Katherine is gone, it’ll be nice to see Nina get some new characters to work with.
