Yup, Tina Fey spoke to Time magazine about the impact Carrie had, not only on her life but, on the lives of women everywhere. The funny lady, who worked alongside her idol during the second season of 30 Rock, shared:

“Carrie Fisher meant a lot to me. Like many women my age, Princess Leia occupies about sixty percent of my brain at any given time. But Carrie’s honest writing and her razor-sharp wit were an even greater gift.”

Hear! Hear!
Some people might not have realized that Fisher earned her first ever Emmy nomination thanks to her guest appearance on 30 Rock. The Mean Girls star added:

“I feel so lucky that I got to meet her. I’m very sad she is gone.”

And while the Saturday Night Live vet and the A-lister only worked together on one episode of the NBC hit, Carrie’s SW character is regularly referenced throughout the series.
