Todrick Hall is seriously here to defend his friend, Taylor Swift!
The singer/YouTube star took to Twitter on Sunday evening and called out his former manager, Scooter Braun, while defending Swift from attacks over the letter she’d written earlier in the day about Braun sketchily buying up her entire music catalog.

Late last night, the artist jumped on social media to defend, saying (below):
For those asking, I left Scooter Braun a long time ago…I am saddened by this news, but not shocked. He is an evil person who’s only concern is his wealth and feeding his disgusting ego. I believe he is homophobic & I know from his own mouth that he is not a Swift fan.

I truly hope justice is served and that my friend’s music will fall into the hands of a better human.

But Todrick wasn’t done there!
He also called out Yael Cohen Braun — Scooter’s wife — and Hailey Bieber for their respective defenses of their husbands during the controversy, mentioning both by name and noting that it’s a particularly brutal brand of “feminism” to do that (below):

I would normally not say anything because I’m sure scooter will threaten me like he has before to keep me quiet, but guess what Scooter, nothing you can do to me would be worst than the 6 years of my life I can’t get back from when & I was ignored as your “artist”

The 34-year-old also notes there’s little Scooter can do to him now that he’s not under contract with the super-manager any more.

But his call-outs didn’t come without consequence!
One of Braun’s employees got into a nasty back-and-forth with Todrick later in the night, with the two alleging some pretty serious things about their respective positions, and whether Todrick was actually “stealing from fans” on a tour of his.
Ch-ch-check out that whole saga (below):
@todrick this is disgusting and defamatory statement. We dropped you after finding out you were stealing from your fans on your Christmas tour. Scooter has been nothing but supportive of all disenfranchised groups. He is against dishonesty. Not those living in their truth.

You said you needed that amount of money. When we said we wouldn’t give it to you – you stole. If you want to play the screenshot game I’ve got a bunch from unpaid cast members – though I’m sure they’d be happy to put you on blast themselves. Stop chasing clout and pay your bills

Welp, I guess they let me go…also I’d like to say this was TWO YEARS after I did the Christmas tour and supposedly stole from my fans ???? pic.twitter.com/CEzL7Gluvh

Super scandalous!!!
It clearly didn’t sit well at all with Hall, who was still talking about it later into the night (below):
Also, why posting a pic of a call sheet from over a year ago is helpful is curious to me. I have no shame in my hustle and grind to make an entire visual album with no label and no help. It took me 8 months to pay off an 800k project by myself and I’m not ashamed of that.

The fact that your team is online starting lies that don't add up is ridiculous! Good night, I'm going to bed.
— Todrick Hall (@todrick) July 1, 2019
And even though he said he was going to bed… not surprisingly, he stayed awake.
That’s because, at least in part, he had to respond to Demi Lovato‘s public support of Scooter; the singer posted her own messages to her Instagram Story late on Sunday night, openly backing Braun in this ongoing he-said, she-said with Taylor.
Here are the two messages that Lovato shared with her fans (below):
Wow!
Hall didn’t take too kindly to that.
First, mistaking the messages for deleted tweets (and later correcting himself), but then, calling out Demi and Scooter pretty viciously over identity politics! Wow!
See his last stand before he actually DID go to bed (below):
Dear Demi, first off…why did you delete your tweet? Secondly, I love you and listen to your music religiously, but thirdly, you cannot compare your experience to mine, especially with someone I was with for six years and you've only just signed with.
— Todrick Hall (@todrick) July 1, 2019
PSA, Just because you have a black friend doesn't mean you can't still be racist. And just because you're not picketing against gay marriage doesn't mean you're not homophobic. I said what I said and I believe what I believe.
— Todrick Hall (@todrick) July 1, 2019
Also, stop using your one client who identifies as queer to stand up for you. There's no way Demi saw my tweet, that means someone from your team is reaching out to them, using them to defend you. Fight your own battles.
— Todrick Hall (@todrick) July 1, 2019
Being black and gay in this industry is hard as hell, and was even harder when I signed with that man and unless someone has walked in my shoes…I don't care to compare their experiences to mine. Period!
— Todrick Hall (@todrick) July 1, 2019
Ok NOW I’m going to sleep, and I realized that Demi commented on insta & doesn’t have Twitter. Also, this is very unfortunate because I LOVE Demi & her music! Been a fan for years. Not trying to start a fight with her because she has nothing to do with it!
