We heard X-Men: Days Of Future Past was going to be darker, but damn!
According to new reports based on leaked pages of the script, almost all of our beloved characters die – and that’s how the movie begins!
SPOILER ALERT!!!!
Apparently Jennifer Lawrence assassinates someone in the past, causing a chain reaction of events that lead to almost all of the heroes getting killed by mutant-hunting robots called Sentinels.
If the movie stays true to the comic book, one of the last of those casualties could be Halle Berry as Storm! Bryan Singer reveals:
“She├óΓé¼Γäós one of the last surviving X-Men in this post-apocalyptic world. She├óΓé¼Γäós part of that with Wolverine and Charles and Magneto; they├óΓé¼Γäóre some of the last folk standing from the original X-Men. They├óΓé¼Γäóre at the spearhead of this mission, this last chance at saving the world. This is their only hope, their mission into time.”
Their mission is to send Hugh Jackman to fix the events of the past to keep everyone from dying!
Whether the mission succeeds or not, Bryan has already promised us big changes going forward with the franchise, so we’re guessing even time travel won’t save everyone.
Good thing the X-Men have some help, in the form of new stars BingBing Fan, Omar Sy, and Twilight‘s Booboo Stewart! Bryan explains the new characters:
“They├óΓé¼Γäóre more refugees that are living day to day in this hideously ruined world. They don├óΓé¼Γäót have much hope in the future. They├óΓé¼Γäóre on the run and they join forces with the remaining X-Men to try to do this one last attempt at fixing the world.”
