Ariana Grande Has Reportedly Been Booked To Lead Lollapalooza Lineup In August!

Here we go, Ariana Grande!!!
The thank u, next superstar will not only be headlining Coachella in a few months out in the SoCal desert, she’s also reportedly the headliner for August’s Lollapalooza, set to take place in Grant Park in Chicago the first week of August!

The news is unconfirmed — Lollapalooza typically won’t announce their lineup until mid- to late-March, but Variety has sources who are telling the publication it’s Ariana leading the way this year in Chi-town.

And before you go assuming Lollapalooza is unoriginal for also picking Grande after Coachella did, behind the scenes, things have actually been working the other way around!
Those sources are claiming that the Chicago festival has been eyeing Grande as their headliner for a few months now. Coachella, as you’ll remember from our earlier reporting about this, had to scramble late to book her after Kanye West made demands the festival wouldn’t fulfill.
One more interesting thing about Grande’s concert schedule this summer: because of both Coachella and Lollapalooza, Variety also reports that she’s had to re-arrange nearly a dozen tour dates to make things work.

The end result is interesting: before April’s desert festival shows, Grande has nine days with nothing on her schedule.
In other words, she won’t be showing up to Coachella right off her tour… and she’ll have time to potentially concoct and rehearse something elaborate as the festival’s headliner.
