There are still TONS of questions swirling around Alex Rodriguez's HUGE suspension and his ongoing legal battle with the MLB, so his defense attorney Joe Tacopina decided to make an appearance on the Today show to clear things up.
Well, sort of!
Joe kicks things off by saying how much he would love to discuss the feud, but due to a confidentiality clause put in place by the MLB, he can't!
"If the vice president of Major League Baseball would be good enough to waive the confidentiality clause, I would love nothing more than to talk about Alex Rodriguez's testing history, and various things. I would love nothing more."
It was at that exact moment that Matt Lauer's ears perked up and he presented Joe with a letter sent by MLB overnight saying
It looks like Alex Rodriguez might actually have someone on his side, and who better to have in your corner than the King of New York himself!!
Sources close to A-Rod say he's reached out to the hip-hop mogul, but they also say it might not be

The New York Yankee slugger was recently slapped with one of the biggest suspensions in MLB history, but there were also 13 other players that also received bans due to their links to performance enhancing drugs and some are saying A-Rod ratted a few of them out!
Earlier this year, Miami New Times released documents that revealed
Alex Rodriguez is NOT going down without a fight!
In fact, it sounds like he wants to take on the MLB head-on, as sources close to the New York Yankees slugger say he's planning on suing the league unless they completely lift his 211 game suspension!

Alex Rodriguez held a press conference to talk about his jumbo-sized suspension, and he says the past few months have not been easy on him!
"I just want to express to you guys and the fans of baseball that the last seven months has been a nightmare. Probably the worst time of my life, for sure. Obviously for the circumstances that are at hand, and also dealing with a very tough surgery, and a rehab program, and being 38."
The New York Yankee slugger was visibly upset throughout the conference, but it's hard to believe that he'll be getting any sympathy anytime soon!
Despite his punishment, A-Rod was actually allowed to play yesterday and hit the field for the first time since last October! He got the butterflies out of his stomach early a hit a single in his first at bat to the tune of thousand of booing fans, but he was silent for the rest of the night!
His suspension goes into effect starting Thursday, but he is expected to appeal the decision.
Ch-ch-check out the rest of his speech (above)!
It's official! The MLB has announced that they will ban Alex Rodriguez for the remainder of the season as well as the entire 2014 season in the biggest suspension in league history!
As we had previously mentioned, A-Rod's punishment has been expected for quite some time now after he was once again linked to the use of performance enhancing drugs and his attempts to cover up his tracks.
The league made the news official this afternoon and released a statement saying:
