Chris Rock is officially back on the market!
After a pretty complicated split, the Saturday Night Live alum and his now ex wife Malaak Compton finalized their divorce at a New Jersey courthouse on Monday. It's said the twosome appeared before a judge to settle their inneresting case.

We just hope there isn't a connection.

The 57-year-old recorded 39 studio albums, leaving behind a vast musical legacy. However, in one of his most famous songs Let's Go Crazy, there are lyrics that coincidentally describe how he passed.
In the 1984 song, which was the second single off Purple Rain, the artist sings
It looks like The Academy is in hot water again!
Chris Rock did an AH-Mazing job of putting the organization on blast for its lack of diversity at the 2016 Oscars.
But during the ceremony, he still managed to tell some racially insensitive jokes himself that played with Asian stereotypes — and some people weren't laughing about it.
George Takei, Ang Lee, and Sandra Oh were some of 25 Academy members of Asian descent that sent a letter to the Academy protesting jokes about Asian's during the Oscars last month.

These old and lame jokes included Rock's skit that introduced three Asian children as Academy accountants, and an ad-libbed comment by Sacha Baron Cohen suggesting that Asians have small peens.
The letter asked for "concrete steps" to make sure that award shows will avoid the "tone-deaf approach" to Asians in the future. The letter states:
This year's Oscars was surrounded by controversy due to the whole #OscarsSoWhite issue.
Thankfully, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences was very quick to try and take steps to help diversify the awards, but it didn't keep some people like Jada Pinkett Smith from speaking her mind and boycotting the award show.

Since Smith was one of the most outspoken protesters, Chris Rock — who hosted the Academy Awards this year — had to joke about the actress in his opening monologue saying:
"Jada said she's not coming. I was like, ‘Isn't she on a TV show?' Jada's gonna boycott the Oscars? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna's panties. I wasn't invited!"
While several people found the bit pretty funny, we still hadn't heard Jada's thoughts on the diss until Saturday when X17 caught up with the actress at LAX!
When asked about Rock's crack, the 44-year-old responded by saying:
Ali G was probably the most surprising celebrity appearance at the 2016 Oscars — well, behind Stacey Dash obviously.
But while Stacey was simply unwelcome, Sacha Baron Cohen's deluded gangsta rapper character was expressly BANNED!

Cohen revealed to ITV's This Morning on Monday:
The Oscars sure were entertaining last night thanks to all the glamour, Chris Rock's HIGHlarious jokes, and of course Leonardo DiCaprio winning his golden statue!
Unfortunately for the star of The Revenant, not as many people watched his big win as the Oscars had an 8-year low in ratings!

Last night's ratings were 23.1/37 which is a 6% dip from last year's show that was hosted by Neil Patrick Harris which earned 24.6/39. NPH's show happened to be the third worst the award show has done in ratings since Rock's last time hosting in 2005.
The Hugh Jackman hosted 2009 show and Jon Stewart's 2008 were the only others rated lower.
Of course, there was that whole movement to boycott the Oscars due to its lack of diversity….
What do you think?? Did people skip out on the show because of the #OscarsSoWhite controversy? Or for another reason??
