Despite Sharon Osbourne announcing via Twitter yesterday that she would not be be returning as judge for another season of America's Got Talent without much of an explanation, she has not since addressed any reasons why…and updated her account once again today to express her excitement for the return of the reality competition's CURRENT season once it returns from hiatus when the Olympics wrap!
Guess Howard Stern's recent turn as a judge on America's Got Talent has been pretty well-received!
At least by producers, anyway, as the DJ revealed this morning on The Howard Stern Show that he's been asked to return alongside Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel for the reality competition's eighth season!
However, he hasn't signed the dotted line yet, and explains:
What a dirrrrty way to celebrate our nation's independence!
Howie Mandel threw a Fourth of July rager at his Calabasas home Wednesday evening, and awoke Thursday morn to lustful sounds coming from his latrine…
And believing it to be some kind of sexual assault, Howie called the cops!
But fortunately, the coppers only found some super-celebratory 21 year-olds who had gotten carried away with their patriotic festivites!
Poor Howie… although why he didn't

The Internets crashed down on Howie Mandel after his off-color “happy endings” joke on AGT … but we wonder if it's really fair.
After comedian Mark Ofuji finished his bit, many viewers felt Howie's joke gave credence to an unfair Asian-American stereotype!
Others contend the judge’s joke — while tasteless — had more to do with the contestant’s day job than his race!
Ch-Ch-Check out the video (above) and feel free to make the call yourself!
About one thing, however, there can be no controversy.
Mizter Ofuji is not funny. Not one bit.
We respect the courage it takes to do an awful
As if we expected anything else!!
A fresh season of America’s Got Talent begins tonight and rookie panelist Howard Stern promises not to pull any punches.
Wow. They are SO desperate!
For the past seven years NBC has done two things well: Make critically acclaimed low-rated sitcoms, and decently rated, not-so-much acclaimed reality shows. The fourth network recently made it clear which type of programing they prefer.
Wednesday, the network struck a HUGE development deal with the industry's top reality producers.
The Parents Television Council LOVES to hate Howard Stern.
They attacked the shock jock as soon as it was confirmed that he was the newest judge on America's Got Talent and just DAYS before the newest season premieres, the PTC is at it again.
The advocacy group has written a letter condemning the show for adding Stern and sent it to 91 advertisers to encourage them to boycott the NBC reality competition.
