Katie Holmes made her Broadway debut last night in a production of Arthur Miller's All My Sons at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.

And, no one was more enthusiastic about "Kate's" performance than - you guessed it - husband Tom Cruise, who gushed to The Associated Press, "Did you see it? … It was extraordinary."

He then leaped onto a sofa and pumped his fists in the air.

Just kidding!

But that would have pleased the group of about thirty Scientology protesters who had gathered outside the theater under the name Anonymous. With some of them wearing masks like the one in V For Vendetta and one member waving a "FREE KATIE" sign, the protesters chanted, "Scientology kills!"

Despite her captivity, Katie apparently put on a good show, much to the surprised delight of audience members. "I'm actually surprised that she's, you know, enough of an actress for being on Broadway," said one of them.

With a resume that includes such impressive titles as Dawnson's Creek and Batman Begins, are you really that shocked?!

Katie Holmes - with alien princess Suri - arrives at the Schoenfeld Theater on Wednesday.

The actress' Broadway debut is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, when her play opens.

Holmes will star alongside the dreamy Patrick Wilson in All My Sons.

Can't wait to read what the critics have to say about her performance!

P.S. Who takes a young child with them to rehearsals???

Hard to believe!

Katie Holmes could be part of one of the fall season's biggest 'non musical' box office winners on Broadway.

Variety reports that the producers of the Homles-starring play All My Sons have just announced that their advance ticket sales total about $3.5 million.

Guess those box office dud rumors can be put to rest for the time being.

Katie Holmes might have one normal friend left!

Before there was Tom Cruise, there was her first love and co-star in Dawson's Creek, Joshua Jackson.

The two hadn't seen each other recently, until Jackson paid Holmes a surprise visit as she rehearsed for the potential Broadway disaster, All My Sons.

According to an inside source tells the Daily Mail, "Joshua wanted to check everything was OK. They haven't spoken in a while and, naturally, he was worried. So he just decided to drop by."

The source adds, "It was really sweet, he just turned up unexpectedly with a bunch of flowers and said: 'Hello stranger.' Katie was shocked, but so happy to see him. It was a wonderful surprise. She gave him such a big hug."

Katie dated Jackson for a bit over a year back in 1998 during her pre-Scientology days.

In an interview after her breakup with Jackson, she later said, "I fell in love, I had my first love, and it was something so incredible and indescribable that I will treasure it always."

The source added, "Joshua made it clear she wasn't alone. He's not out to cause trouble. Her life is truly bizarre now, but having some friends supporting her who have nothing to do with her LA set-up could make all the difference. Josh would love to see Katie as the carefree and relaxed woman he once knew."

Awwww, how sweet and just…. a little too late!

If he really cared so much, wouldn't he have intervened a while ago?

According to the source, though, the two have barely kept in touch since they last worked together on the show five years ago.

Wonder what would have become of Katie's life if she had stayed with Jackson?

That is the question everyone's been asking and the spermination talk keeps getting louder and louder.

Katie Holmes was spotted in NYC this past weekend, where she's been rehearsing for that Broadway show she's going to be starring in.

Mrs. Cruise, wearing a loose-fitting top, was seen with a noticeably fuller tummy.

Could the actress be expecting another Scientolotot????

Poor Katie Holmes.

We can only imagine what she has to deal with being married to Tom Cruise. And now her career is in the shitter too!

Holmes' Broadway show, All My Sons, is expected to open October 16th. Though people are already expecting it to suck.

But, aside from all that, the show will at least get some extra publicity on opening day.

It's going to be boycotted and protested against!

Seriously.

An anti-Scientology group, Anonymous, will be on-site opening day.

The group has confirmed they will be present and causing a peaceful shitstorm on opening night.

A "spokesperson" for the Scientology haters says, “We aren’t looking to shut it down, we don’t have the power to do that, we just want to prove a point."

According to the rep, their main intention is to "save Katie."

They claim, “We want to draw attention to Scientology, and hopefully get Katie out of it before its too late.”

It's a little too late for that we think.

They should have probably protested at her wedding.

As for the group, they usually launch web-based protests, but at times they make public appearances sporting some interesting masks.

Recently they picketed at a New York Scientology Center.

Poor Katie Holmes.

Looks like her marriage to Scientology princess Tom Cruise has ruined her career. Or basically her image.

Execs for Broadway's All My Sons were hoping that a big name could drive up ticket sales. In the same way that having "stars" like Mario Lopez in A Chorus Line and Clay Aiken in Spamalot helped boost sales.

So getting a real celebrity would guarantee good sales you'd think?

But not when half the world probably thinks you're being brainwashed or crazy for marrying Cruise.

According to reports, ticket sales for Holmes' Broadway debut at “definitely off from what the production hoped. You can’t say it’s the economy, because there are shows, like ‘Mamma Mia’ that are selling out.”

So what are the producers to do? They're blaming it on Katie's Dawson Creek days.

One source says, “It’s not that Katie’s bad in the part. She’s good enough. The producers are just getting the feeling people still want to view Katie as sweet little Joey Potter.”

Hah. Yea right. That was too long ago, and too much has happened with her and Cruise to even remember her B.C. (Before Cruise) happy days.

As for Jackie Green, the publicist for the shiteous show, she says "That information is totally false. There is a healthy advance for the show, and there is no chance of the run being shortened."
