Very similar to the Golden Globe nominees … but we already knew that was going to happen!
This morning, the nominees for this year's Academy Awards were announced and the best of the best in Hollywood has A LOT to celebrate. From George Clooney to Meryl Streep, we don't think there is an A-lister left out of the pool this year and rightly so — it was a GREAT year for movie. (P.S. - This marks Meryl's 17th nomination! Crazy!)
Scorsese's Hugo leads the pack with a whopping 11 nominations across the board, but do you know who our personal favorite nomination is? Melissa McCarthy for Bridesmaids! Yes!!! So well deserved! As was The Muppets' nomination for "Man or Muppet" for best Original Song! We knew they would get in there somehow! And for all you Potterhead fans out there, fear not; the final film managed a nod for Art Direction, so it isn't going completely unrecognized. (Then again, there was one more available spot to fill in the Best Picture category. Juuuuuust saying!)

Yowza! Look at that body!
Michelle Williams has been hiding her slamming figure all these years, but the most recent issue of GQ reveals she's just as hot as the sexpot actress she's portraying in My Week With Marilyn.
Needless to say, there will be a lot of happy gentlemen reading this issue!
Check out more seksi pics of the steamy starlet below! Do U think she compares to the legendary Marilyn Monroe?

Aside from searing barbs from (Johnny Depp endorsed) Ricky Gervais, and more importantly MADGE, the Golden Globes did not give us the drama we've seen in previous years.
There were few suprise upsets or shockers but in the world of television, the little guys made a big splash over network TV, including Showtime's Homeland winning best TV drama and Joey Matt LeBlanc taking Best Actor for TV comedy!
Meryl Streep and George Clooney completed a mostly chalk night for film, taking home the acting honors in Best Drama while Michelle Williams and Jean Dujardin walked away with Best Comedy acting honors.

Such a moment! She really captured Marilyn Monroe with her performance. (If you haven't seen this movie, GO NOW!)
Michelle Williams just won the Golden Globe for her performance as the icon sex symbol in My Week With Marilyn!
Her speech was so graceful and funny - just like her performance! We hope her daughter gets to see it when she gets older (she's a little young to appreciate it now)!
You go Jen Lindley!

Nearly 100 years after their hay day, silent movies can still come out on top!
The Artist took home Best Film as well as Best Screenplay at the VFCC.
Jessica Chastain continued to pick up steam with a Best Supporting Actress with The Tree of Life as well as receiving recognition for The Help and Take Shelter. Michael Fassbender also continued his 2011 dominance with a Best Actor win for Shame.
But the real shocker came from the Best Actress category. The winner???

Wow! So many new faces! What a twist having so many new faces intermingled with the old!
Then again, we are really pissed about one thing…
The nominations for this years Golden Globes were just announced and the nominees are a star-studded array of the most talent folks in television and film.
